A man who held a minor girl captive for three days and repeatedly sexually assaulted her after she declined his proposal for marriage was arrested and sent to jail in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district on Saturday.
The victim, a 17-year-old, was beaten, and according to police, the accused used a hot iron rod to write the letters of his name, ‘Aman’, on her face.
The police initially registered a case under ‘lesser’ sections such as wrongful confinement and voluntarily causing hurt, as alleged by her family, as per The Times Of India report.
