Chirasvi Balasubramanian made a record by writing 100 words of English simultaneously with both hands, completing her task in 14 minutes and 15 seconds.

Some people are born with certain rare qualities which make them a star among people, especially if they are children. When they display a unique talent, it is a marvel in itself, just like this little girl from Karnataka, who is skilful enough to write with both hands.

The little girl is the 6-year-old Chirasvi Balasubramanian, the daughter of RBI employee AV Balasubramanian. She has etched her name in the India Book of Records as the youngest child in the country to be ambidextrous; someone who can write with both hands. She is a resident of Devaraja Mohalla, in Mysuru, Karnataka.

In April, she made a record by writing 100 words of English simultaneously with both hands, completing her task in 14 minutes and 15 seconds in Chennai’s Kalams World Records. Chirasvi can write the Kannada alphabet and the English alphabet at the same time with both hands. She can even write numbers from one to fifty as well as in reverse order, the same way. Not only that, but the young girl is also a skilful artist.

Local18 reports that she is now learning to write Kannada language with one hand and English with the other. Moreover, she is also learning how to write with one hand, while using the other for drawing.

Chirasvi Balasubramanian is a child prodigy, who visits schools to demonstrate her talent. She has been invited to events like MyBuild Expo, Chinnara Mela of Rangayana and Kalasuruchi Summer Camps, to talk about the need to prioritise and develop writing skills with fellow children.

Being ambidextrous means that a person does not have a dominant hand and can utilise both hands in tasks. According to more information on a website, only 1 per cent of the world’s population is reported to be ambidextrous. While 9 per cent are left-handed and 90 per cent are right-handed.
